About Double pipe nipples

Pipe double nipples bridge the gap between two female threads when a short double nipple is too small. The series offers lengths from 30 to 200 mm with threads from R 1/4 male to R 2 male. It saves cutting and threading a length of pipe on site.

What matters when choosing

• Length from 30 to 200 mm follows the distance between the two connections plus the engagement at each end.
• Threads run from R 1/4 male to R 2 male in the tapered form and from G 1/2 male to G 2 male in the parallel form. The two are not interchangeable, so the mating part decides.
• Maximum working pressure lies between 10 and 40 bar depending on version and has to be checked against the highest pressure in the line.
• The material is bright brass or stainless steel 1.4571. Stainless is the choice where the medium or the environment attacks brass.

• Extending threaded ports on manifolds and headers

Part of the series uses threads to DIN EN 10226, and the materials are bright brass and stainless steel 1.4571. Where a medium temperature is stated, the upper limit is 90 °C.
