SMC pneumatic directional control valves set the direction and flow of compressed air in cylinders, grippers and handling systems. This section holds around 3,400 articles, organised by switching function (3/2, 5/2, 5/3-way) and actuation (electrically pilot-operated or purely air-piloted), and by design for individual mounting or for manifolds to ISO 5599 and ISO 15407.

3/2-way valves drive single-acting cylinders, blow-off and vacuum functions; 5/2 and 5/3-way valves control double-acting actuators, where the 5/3 mid-position (closed, exhausted or pressurised) allows positioning and stopping. Manual and lever valves plus exhaust silencers complete on-site actuation and noise reduction at the exhaust ports.

Assembly and handling systems, packaging machinery, jig and fixture building and process automation. Solenoid valves are driven from a PLC and combined on manifolds with common supply or fieldbus interface; air-piloted valves serve as logic and auxiliary control without electrical components.
